About CUET
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is a prestigious all-India level examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It serves as the gateway to undergraduate courses offered by various participating institutions. Prior to 2021, the exam was known as the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET), a name bestowed upon it by the University Grants Commission (UGC). However, the UGC decided to rebrand the test, hence renaming it as CUET. The exam takes place once a year and is administered in more than 500 cities across India and internationally. Initially, CUCET was conducted in a traditional paper-pencil-based format by the UGC. However, since last year, the NTA has taken over the responsibility of conducting the examination, and it is now conducted in a modern computer-based mode.
