About CUET

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is a prestigious all-India level examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It serves as the gateway to undergraduate courses offered by various participating institutions. Prior to 2021, the exam was known as the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET), a name bestowed upon it by the University Grants Commission (UGC). However, the UGC decided to rebrand the test, hence renaming it as CUET. The exam takes place once a year and is administered in more than 500 cities across India and internationally. Initially, CUCET was conducted in a traditional paper-pencil-based format by the UGC. However, since last year, the NTA has taken over the responsibility of conducting the examination, and it is now conducted in a modern computer-based mode.

Aspiring candidates are allotted two hours to complete the CUET, wherein they must demonstrate their aptitude and knowledge in the relevant subjects. The successful performance in CUET opens doors to numerous undergraduate courses in the participating institutions, making it a crucial step for students seeking admission to higher education programs. For the latest updates and specific details regarding CUET, candidates are advised to refer to the official NTA website and other relevant sources. CUET 2024 According to the latest information, the CUET 2024 results have been published online, as announced by UGC Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar. The scorecards will include subject-wise NTA scores and percentiles for all candidates. As the examination was conducted on multiple days, the scores have been normalized for fairness.
Following the CUET 2024 result declaration, the registration process for counseling has commenced at the participating colleges. The counseling will be based on CUET cut-offs, which will be individually released by each college and university. Prominent universities accepting CUET scores for admissions are Delhi University (DU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Central Punjab University (CPU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Jamia Millia Islamia, and Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). Each of these universities and colleges will release their respective CUET 2024 cut-off ranks in the form of a rank list. For the most accurate and detailed information regarding CUET 2024 , it is advisable to refer to official sources, the concerned university websites, or reputable news outlets.

Students are advised to strictly follow the syllabus officially released by NTA during their preparation for the exam.
By focusing on the designated syllabus, candidates can ensure they are adequately prepared for the CUET 2024 exam, increasing their chances of performing well and securing admission to their desired undergraduate courses. Typically, there are three rounds of counselling, although the number of rounds may vary depending on seat availability. Upon the announcement of seat allotment results, candidates who receive admission offers must confirm their acceptance by reporting to the respective institutes. They will need to get their documents verified during this process.

For certain programs, interview rounds will replace the traditional counselling process. In such cases, the NTA will provide specific details about the admission process for these programs separately, which can be found in the information brochure of CUET 2024 . To stay informed and updated about the counselling process and admission-related guidelines, candidates should regularly check the official website of NTA and the individual participating institutes.
